Loris Karius in danger of losing Besiktas spot amid social media criticism - reports

After Loris Karius' tumultuous Champions League final, Shaka Hislop feels his move to Besiktas will be a breath of fresh air for him.

Loris Karius could be dropped for Besiktas' next European game after an error against Malmo in the previous Europa League match, according to reports.

Liverpool goalkeeper Karius, who is on loan at the Turkish club, was beaten by a deflected cross and faced heavy criticism on social media.

Besiktas manager Senol Gunes is reportedly concerned about Karius, with reports claiming he will rest him against Genk and bring in Tolga Zengin as his replacement.

But sources told ESPN FC that Besiktas are happy...

Arda Turan questioned by police after fight with Turkish pop star

Police questioned Turkey international midfielder Arda Turan late on Thursday over reports that he fought with a pop star at a night club in Istanbul, the Demiroren news agency (DHA) and other media said.

Turan, on loan from Barcelona at Turkish club Istanbul Basaksehir, was summoned by a prosecutor to make a statement to police after they received reports of the player's clash with singer Berkay Sahin, DHA said.

It quoted Turan's police statement as saying he rejected allegations he harassed Sahin.

Liverpool never told me to leave after Champions League final - Loris Karius

Liverpool may be top of the Premier League and unbeaten, but Stevie Nicol says they must be far more clinical to keep top spot.
Liverpool cantered past a limp Southampton at Anfield to stay perfect in the Premier League this season.

Loris Karius said it took him nearly two weeks to get over the Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid in May but insisted he was never told he had to leave the club this summer.

Karius, 25, joined Besiktas on a two-year loan in August, a month after Liverpool signed goalkeeper Alisson from Roma for £56 million.

His mistakes in the 3-1 defeat, which he has said resulted from concussion after he was elbowed in the head by Madrid's Sergio Ramos, led to criticism that he said he struggled...

Mexico's Marco Fabian: Fenerbahce move broke down over money

Marco Fabian has said he wants to stay at Eintracht Frankfurt and claimed his move to Fenerbahce broke down over money rather than a medical issue.

The Mexico international, 29, was pictured with a Fenerbahce scarf at the end of August and a switch to Frankfurt appeared a formality.

But the move eventually broke down, leading to claims a back problem was to blame -- something that Eintracht Frankfurt sporting director Fredi Bobic strenuously denied.

"It had all been agreed on the previous week,...

Loris Karius surrenders late equaliser in first Besiktas appearance

After Loris Karius' tumultuous Champions League final, Shaka Hislop feels his move to Besiktas will be a breath of fresh air for him.

On-loan Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius conceded a late equaliser in his first appearance for Besikstas, a 1-1 draw against Bursaspor on Sunday.

Karius, who finalised a two-year loan on Aug. 25, came out to claim a cross from the byline from Bursaspor midfielder Yusuf Erdogan, but forward Diafra Sakho reached it at the edge of the box before the goalkeeper and tapped home in the 86th minute.

Replaced in July as Liverpool's No. 1 by Alisson, who signed from Roma for a club record €62.5 million,...
