Italy, fielding another experimental lineup, produced a lively first-half performance but were still held to a 1-1 draw at home by Ukraine in a friendly on Wednesday.

Coach Roberto Mancini made eight changes to the starting line-up from the team which lost 1-0 to Portugal in the Nations League in their last outing where he in turn had made nine changes from the previous game. 

The draw also extends the Azzurri's winless streak to five matches.

Poland charged with fan racism by UEFA; Czech Republic, Ukraine face crowd charges

Poland couldn't hang on for the win in their UEFA Nations League opener, as Jorginho's second-half penalty rescued a point for Italy in Bologna.

UEFA has charged Poland with fan racism in a Nations League game, while the Czech Republic and Ukraine face charges for crowd unrest.

These are the first disciplinary cases involving Europe's newest international competition. UEFA didn't specify what Polish fans are alleged to have done in Friday's 1-1 draw with Italy, but said the case would be heard Sept. 21.
