Uganda's new coach, Sébastien Desabre, has tipped his team to perform well at the 2018 Africa Nations Championship (CHAN), which kicks off on Friday.

Speaking after the last training session in Rabat, Morocco on Thursday before the Cranes travelled to Marrakech, the Frenchman said preparations have been good and the team is ready for the tournament.

"I am happy with the positive attitude shown during this period we have been in camp. The players and staff have been immense. Team work will be...

Desabre already targeting CHAN triumph with Uganda

Newly appointed Uganda coach Sebeastien Desabre has already outlined his desire to win the African Nations Championship despite only being in the Cranes hotseat for a matter of days.

The Frenchman was appointed as head coach for the East African giants on December 28, but has already revealed that he's aiming to win the tournament which kicks off in Morocco next week.

"The ultimate target would be to win the competition," he told the Ugandan Federation upon his official unveiling. "Maybe it is possible...

New Uganda coach Desabre receives Obua backing

Former Uganda winger David Obua has tipped incoming Cranes head coach Sebastien Desabre to excel in his new position.

The 41-year old Frenchman was unveiled last week as the long-term successor to Milutin 'Micho' Sredojevic, who quit the job in July after accumulated unpaid salary.

Desabre's first task will be to oversee the Cranes' Africa Nations Championship campaign in Morocco later this month.

Desabre promises to make Ugandans proud

Newly appointed Uganda coach Sebastien Desabre has vowed to make the nation proud of the Cranes and is determined that his players will be entirely fan-focused during his tenure.

Desabre was appointed last week as the long-term successor to Milutin Sredojevic, and will be tasked with overseeing Uganda's 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign, as the Cranes look to build on their success in reaching Gabon.

"I want to thank the federation for the confidence and trust they have invested in...
