Galatasaray eyeing move for Ahmed Musa

Ahmed Musa looks set for another spell away from Leicester City next season, with Turkish giant Galatasaray keen to take him on loan.

The 25-year-old spent the second half of the 2017/18 campaign on loan at Russian side CSKA Moscow; the same club the Foxes signed the Nigerian forward from for £16million back in 2016.

Musa, briefly Leicester's most expensive player ever, has been a peripheral figure under Claude Puel, and his agent says a move to a UEFA Champions League club like Galatasaray...

Nigeria supporters deny 'ridiculous' chicken reports

Nigerian football supporters have been left bemused by reports of a request to Russian officials to have live chickens taken into the World Cup venues as good-luck charms.

It was reported last week, on various platforms, that Nigerian fans had been denied their requests to take chickens into the stadiums, but it's a request the supporters say did not come from them.

Nigeria boss after Croatia loss: 'I think we can do better than what we did today'

The FC panel assess Croatia's complete performance against Nigeria and what message it sends to the rest of Group D.

KALININGRAD, Russia -- Nigeria boss Gernot Rohr says his young side can "do better" than what they produced in Saturday's 2-0 loss to Croatia in their Group D opener in Kaliningrad.

"When you lose a match it is something we don't like but we recognise that Croatia had the better team tonight and my young players made some mistakes,"...

3 Takeaways from Nigeria's loss to Croatia

One own-goal and one penalty was more than enough to condemn Nigeria to defeat against Croatia in their opening game of the 2018 World Cup on Saturday in Kaliningrad.

It was not the start Gernot Rohr and his players had hoped for, but it was one they deserved as familiar failings returned to haunt the team in a performance that was as lethargic as it was painful.

Here are three observations from a disappointing night for Nigeria...

Etebo the only bright light in dire Nigeria display

Nigeria ensured that Africa's teams went 0-3 at the World Cup as they put on a lifeless display and were duly swatted aside by a Croatia side who ran out 2-0 winners.

The defeat leaves the Super Eagles with much to do to escape Group D, particularly with Argentina to come in their final first-round match, although the nature of the performance may well be of greater concern to coach Gernot Rohr.

Positives

There were precious few for the Super Eagles, who failed to translate the excitement and energy...
