Andik Vermansyah 'pumped' for Selangor comeback vs. Pahang in MSL

Preview the latest Malaysia Super League fixtures including Selangor's match vs. Pahang and PKNS clash against JDT.
Jason Dasey and PJ Roberts assess Nelo Vingada's appointment as Malaysia coach and what he has to do to succeed.

Fan favourite Andik Vermansyah is set for a much-awaited return for Selangor after a lengthy injury layoff, and aims to score against Pahang in the Malaysia Super League (MSL) on Wednesday night.

The Indonesian flyer suffered a posterior cruciate ligament injury in the first-leg final of the 2016 AFF Suzuki Cup against Thailand last December. The setback left him sidelined for five months, giving Selangor little choice but to drop him for the first half of the MSL season.

Former Premier League striker Peter Odemwingie has been in good form in Indonesia.

Peter Odemwingie scored his third goal in four games in Indonesia to give Madura United a 1-0 win at Persija Jakarta on Thursday night.

The former Nigerian international struck with 21 minutes remaining to lift Madura into equal fifth in Indonesia's Liga One.

Four days earlier, the ex-West Bromwich Albion striker had produced a rocket from the edge of the area. While this strike was from even further out, it was more speculative than spectacular. Odemwingie fired a looping effort towards goal from...
