PSG lining up multiple sales in January transfer window - source

ESPN FC PSG correspondent Jonathan Johnson examines the club's needs in January and how Financial Fair Play could play a factor.
The FC crew sing the praises of PSG for their dominating play in Ligue 1 and the Champions League this season.
Kylian Mbappe believes his partnership with Edinson Cavani and Neymar can only get better for Paris Saint-Germain.
Neymar, Kylian Mbappe, Edinson Cavani and Thiago Silva played some football on a floating pitch in Doha, Qatar.

PARIS -- Grzegorz Krychowiak and Jese Rodriguez are among several Paris Saint-Germain players who could find new clubs in the January transfer window, a source close to the club has told ESPN FC.

Premier League loan moves to West Bromwich Albion for Krychowiak and Stoke City for Jese have not worked out. However, the source made it clear that PSG have no intention of bringing either player back to Parc des Princes and covering their significant salary.

Krychowiak, 27, is reportedly attracting interest from Spanish clubs, where he is held in high regard after his time with Sevilla. AS reports that Getafe are the most serious suitors in terms of a potential loan until the end of the season.

Jese, meanwhile, is wanted by hometown club Las Palmas despite a disappointing spell there last campaign, but both moves depend on the players' salaries being paid in full by the loan club.

Paco Jemez, who was recently appointed coach of Las Palmas, has already expressed his interest in seeing Jese return to Estadio Gran Canaria and urged president Miguel Angel Ramirez to "do everything within his power" to make it happen.

The move, if it happens, would suit both club and player as it would enable Jese to be close to his son Nyan.

Jese could be set to leave Stoke in January.

PSG are also trying to bring free agent Lassana Diarra in this month to boost midfield options. However, the proposed signing of midfielder Wendel from Fluminense has hit a stumbling block, with a move to CSKA Moscow more likely because they offer stronger financial guarantees.

PSG's financial fair play (FFP) concerns mean that if the deal is to go through at all right now, it would have to happen through an investment fund and Fluminense would rather a straight cash transaction.

Sporting Lisbon looked favourites to sign Wendel instead but because of their inability to provide financial guarantees as well, it is actually CSKA -- who wanted to loan the 20-year-old from PSG at one point -- who now lead the chase.

Meanwhile, the source revealed that PSG are continuing to push for Lucas Moura and Hatem Ben Arfa to depart, while the futures of Javier Pastore, Kevin Trapp and Angel Di Maria has not yet been decided.

Moura has attracted significant interest from China, as reported recently, while Ben Arfa is trying to see out his contract.

Pastore and Di Maria remain important to coach Unai Emery but both want to feature more regularly than he can guarantee with Neymar and Kylian Mbappe in his squad.

Sport Mediaset say PSG will meet with Pastore's agent Marcelo Simonian this week to discuss his future -- amid fears he has played his final game for the capital club.

Sporting director Antero Henrique and Emery are reluctant to sell or loan Trapp because it would mean that a new goalkeeper is needed as backup for Alphonse Areola with Remy Descamps set to join Ligue 2 side Tours on loan.

Goncalo Guedes
Goncalo Guedes has impressed for Valencia in La Liga this season.

The source also said that recent reports regarding an agreement to sell Goncalo Guedes to Valencia are not 100 percent true but not 100 percent false, either.

PSG's plan is to avoid selling Guedes, if at all possible, and bring him back to Parc des Princes for next season because Henrique and Emery -- regardless of his future past this season -- rate him highly.

However, as things stand, Guedes is the most profitable potential sale and a sizeable chunk of the approximate €75 million FFP shortfall that needs making up between now and the summer can be taken care of by selling the Portugal international.

The source suggested that PSG are entertaining offers and discussing Guedes without being totally committed to actually going through with a sale.

AS adds that PSG have put a minimum €40m price tag on Guedes but will not necessarily be selling to Valencia, who have Champions League qualification-related financial concerns of their own.
