Inter Milan move would be 'bad' for Toronto's Sebastian Giovinco - agent

Shaka Hislop agrees with Sebastian Giovinco's agent that the Italian shouldn't consider a move to Inter and stay put in Toronto.
Julie Stewart-Binks catches up with Sebastian Giovinco after Toronto FC's win over Seattle Sounders in the MLS Cup Final.

A move to Inter Milan in January would not be in the best interests of Toronto FC striker Sebastian Giovinco, his agent has said.

Giovinco, 30, has won the MLS Cup with his club and there has been speculation that he could return to Italy as Inter search for a back-up for Mauro Icardi.

However, agent Andrea D'Amico told Italy's Radio 24: "[A move would be] bad, because Giovinco has just accomplished this triumph in America and he's really happy there.

"I'll say one thing: Giovinco would do well in any top European or Italian side, but he made a life decision and a sporting decision three years ago and he's very happy with what he's done.

"Of course he'd do well at Inter, as he would at Milan and at other clubs, but he's happy where he is. He'd also do well in the national team."

Giovinco joined Toronto from Juventus in 2015 and made his last appearance in an Italy shirt shortly afterwards, with then national coach Antonio Conte saying it would be hard to consider him while he was playing in MLS.

He is under contract with Toronto until 2019.
