The Premier Soccer League has confirmed that the Telkom Knockout semifinal between Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates will be staged at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.

The venue for the fixture had been a hot topic of debate after it was revealed that the FNB Stadium, the 90,000-seater regular home of the Soweto Derby, was unavailable having been booked for another event.

Injury-plagued SuperSport remain a threat, Katsande warns

Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Willard Katsande says the fact that Telkom Knockout quarterfinal opponents SuperSport United will be missing key players, when the teams clash in Durban on Sunday, won't make them any less of a threat.

Chiefs have not won any of their last eight meetings with SuperSport, and in that time have been knockout out of the MTN8 twice, including this season, and the Nedbank Cup by Matsatsantsa.

AmaZulu dump Cape Town City out of Telkom Knockout

AmaZulu completed the quarterfinal line-up of the 2018 Telkom Knockout after defeating MTN8 champions Cape Town City 2-0 at the King Zwelithini Stadium in Umlazi on Tuesday.

Argentine forward Emiliano Tade and Bongi Ntuli netted the goals for Usuthu, who had to absorb plenty of City pressure, but managed to keep the visitors down to just a few clear-cut chances.

The draw for the next stage was conducted directly after the final whistle and sees AmaZulu host Orlando Pirates in the next round.

City were recently crowned MTN8 champions but have shown Jekyll and Hyde form this season, with just a single league victory as well as they grapple on multiple fronts under coach Benni McCarthy.

Yet that inconsistent form has shown McCarthy what his best eleven is, as changes made after their MTN8 final...

Chiefs advance in Telkom Knockout after shoot-out win

Kaizer Chiefs survived a nervous afternoon but advanced to the quarterfinals of the Telkom Knockout following a 4-2 penalty shoot-out victory over Black Leopards, after a 1-1 draw at the FNB Stadium on Sunday.

Chiefs, entering a fourth season without silverware, had to come from behind in the game after Phathutshedzo Nange had put Leopards ahead.

But Pule Ekstein equalized for Chiefs in the second half to send the game to extra-time, after which goalkeeper Virgil Vries, in for the rested Itumeleng...
