Fernando Torres aiming to put Sagan Tosu on world football's map

Fernando Torres ends speculation of his next club as he announces he'll be joining J.League side Sagan Tosu.

The career of Fernando Torres has come full circle. The Spanish striker fell in love with football from reading the legendary Japanese comic "Captain Tsubasa." Torres was released by Atletico Madrid recently after winning the Europa League, the first trophy the 34-year-old striker has ever won with his boyhood club.

Since then, the veteran has been...

Barcelona legend Andres Iniesta's arrival a massive boost for J.League and Asia

The saga of where Andres Iniesta will go next is officially over. Not China, Australia or the Middle East (like former Barcelona teammate Xavi) but Japan. The J.League is now home to one of the best players in the world and Vissel Kobe are once again showing their ambition to move from a middling Japanese team to the best in Asia.

It is only a matter of time before the 2010 World Cup winner slides the ball through a packed Japanese defence for 2014 champion Lukas Podolski to score a goal for the...
