Pep Guardiola wants Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus to be more clinical

Don Hutchison joins Layla Anna-Lee to explain why a move for Jonny Evans would be 'no bad thing' for Manchester City.

MANCHESTER -- Pep Guardiola says he has not yet seen in an improvement from his forwards after criticising their lack of ruthlessness last season.

His Manchester City side kicked off the season with a 2-0 victory over Brighton, but they missed a number of chances before Sergio Aguero -- who was partnered up front by Gabriel Jesus -- and a Lewis Dunk own goal settled matters.

They also missed a hatful of chances in the 3-0 preseason victory over Tottenham, and Guardiola told a news conference ahead...

Don Hutchison believes player power has gone too far after Diego Costa's demands to return to former club Atletico Madrid.

LONDON -- Antonio Conte laughed off suggestions that Diego Costa is being harshly treated by Chelsea and reiterated that for him, the striker's situation is "in the past".

Earlier this month Costa, who remains in exile in his hometown of Lagarto in Brazil, told the Daily Mail that he felt Chelsea were dealing with him "like a criminal," and in an interview with ESPN Brasil on Friday the 28-year-old accused the Premier League champions of pricing him out of his desired move back to Atletico Madrid.

LONDON -- Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has targeted four new signings before the end of the window but refused to discuss the imminent arrival of Davinson Sanchez from Ajax.

Spurs are the only Premier League club yet to make a summer signing but have agreed a deal that could be worth more than £40 million for centre-back Sanchez.

They are also interested in Fulham's Ryan Sessegnon, Ross Barkley of Everton and Celta Vigo midfielder Pape Cheikh Diop.

Man City have bid for Jonny Evans turned down by West Brom

Don Hutchison joins Layla Anna-Lee to explain why a move for Jonny Evans would be 'no bad thing' for Manchester City.

MANCHESTER -- Pep Guardiola says Manchester City have made no more progress in their move for Jonny Evans but hasn't ruled out trying to buy a centre-back before the transfer window closes.

City have had a reported £18 million bid for the West Brom defender rejected and Baggies boss Tony Pulis revealed that it would take a "very, very good offer" to persuade the club to sell him.

The former Manchester United defender is a doubt for West Brom's game with Burnley at the weekend but Pulis told...

Jose Mourinho has hinted Manchester United's summer spending could be over as his hopes of adding one more attacking player before the transfer window shuts on Aug. 31 appear to have been dashed.

Sources told ESPN FC earlier this week that the Portuguese coach was prepared to wait until January to spend any more money, having held interest in Real Madrid's Gareth Bale and Inter Milan's Ivan Perisic.

With just 13 days to go before the deadline, Mourinho is not confident of landing his fourth target.
