Valencia boss Marcelino has signed a new contract which will keep him at the Mestalla until 2020, the club have confirmed.

Marcelino took over at the beginning of last season with the club in turmoil having finished 2016-17 in 12th place for the second consecutive campaign. However, he turned their fortunes around and led them to a Champions League finish within 12 months.

Juventus have completed the signing of Portugal full-back Joao Cancelo from Valencia for a fee of €40.4 million, which will be paid in three installments.

Andreas Pereira has bid farewell to Valencia following the end of his loan deal from Manchester United.

Pereira joined Valencia on a season-long loan in search of playing time and made 23 league appearances, 12 as a starter, to help them finish fourth in La Liga and qualify for the Champions League.
