After the final whistle, Televisa journalist Yussif Caro claimed Gignac had hit him pitchside, and then called the France international...

Club Tijuana coach Miguel "Piojo" Herrera and Tigres' Ricardo "Tuca" Ferretti have been heating up Thursday's 2017 Clausura semifinal, with a battle of words ahead of the first leg.

The spat started Monday when Ferretti labeled Herrera his "idol," because "Piojo" has already allegedly agreed to become manager of another club -- widely reported to be America -- next season while he is still fighting for the Liga MX title with Club Tijuana.

"'Piojo' is my idol," Ferretti said on Monday, with a wide...

Violence in stands mars Liga MX match between Veracruz and Tigres

A Liga MX soccer match between Veracruz and Tigres UANL was marred by violence when fans from both sides confronted each other in the stands of Veracruz's Luis 'Pirata' Fuente stadium.

A visibly irate club manager Ricardo 'Tuca' Ferretti had to be held by back star player Andre-Pierre Gignac after getting into a shoving and shouting match with a police officer on the pitch.
