Minnesota United signs Cameroon international Frantz Pangop

Cameroon international Frantz Pangop has signed with Minnesota United and will join the Major League Soccer club for the 2018 season once his P1 Visa and transfer certificate are approved, the club announced on Tuesday.

The 24-year-old attacking midfielder helped Cameroon qualify for the 2018 World Cup -- making two appearances and scoring a goal in a win against Algeria -- and most recently played for Union Douala in his native country's top flight.

Minnesota United loans out Johan Venegas to Saprissa

Johan Venegas found limited success with Minnesota United.

Minnesota United has loaned attacker Johan Venegas to Saprissa for a year, the Costa Rican club confirmed on Friday.

Venegas scored two goals with five assists in 22 games for the Loons last season after moving to Minnesota in a trade with the Montreal Impact.

Although he has been a target of criticism in Minnesota, he has performed for Costa Rica with nine goals in 44 appearances for the national team, inlclding the opener in a 4-0 World Cup qualifying win over the United States last year.

Colorado picks Mike Grella in re-entry draft, deals him to Columbus

Mike Grella is now a member of the Columbus Crew following stage 1 of the MLS re-entry draft.

The Colorado Rapids selected former New York Red Bull Mike Grella during Stage 1 of Major League Soccer's re-entry draft on Friday and then promptly traded him to Columbus Crew SC for a second-round pick in the 2019 SuperDraft.

Grella, 30, spent the last three seasons with the New York Red Bulls, but his contract option was not picked up thus making him available for the re-entry draft.
