Leyton Orient boosted their National League survival hopes with a 1-0 victory at play-off chasing AFC Fylde.

Macauley Bonne's 16th goal of the season proved the difference between the two sides as Orient remained six points clear of the relegation zone.

Bonne netted the winner from the penalty spot four minutes before the interval after Dan Holman was fouled in the box by Simon Grand.

Danny Rowe and Henry Jones went close for Fylde, who stay in the play-off spots despite suffering their first defeat...

Ten-man Leyton Orient battled back to earn a point in a 2-2 home draw with fellow strugglers Chester.

Things started well for Orient, who are now without a win in 13 league matches, when Macauley Bonne headed them into the lead after six minutes.

However, Chester were level 10 minutes later in controversial fashion when James Akintunde's effort was deemed to have crossed the line.

Ross Hannah's free-kick put the visitors in front just before half-time and things got worse for Orient in the 44th minute...

Father versus son highlights magic of FA Cup

The FA Cup is the greatest tournament in the world because it's about the sport, not the teams.

LONDON -- Martin Ling, Leyton Orient's newly installed director of football, found a quiet gap between the filling stands at Victoria Road. His O's had made the short bus trip to visit Dagenham & Redbridge on Saturday, two National League sides drawn to begin their pivotal FA Cup campaigns against each other. For Ling, the prospects were twice nervy. His son, Sam, was starting for the Daggers.

Sam, only 20, still lives at home, and it had been a little quiet around the house before the East...

Leyton Orient have completed the signing of Cameroonian defender George Elokobi, who signs for the London club from Colchester United.

The 31-year-old, who made 58 Premier League appearances over three season with Wolverhampton Wanderers, joins the National League side on a two-year deal.

"Really pleased to sign for Leyton Orient," the defender wrote on his @georgeelokobi Twitter handle. "I'm looking forward to the challenge ahead."

Elokobi was released by League Two outfit Colchester at the season's...

Francesco Becchetti sells Leyton Orient to Dunkin' Donuts CEO's group

Leyton Orient fans protested the club's recent misfortunes.

Francesco Becchetti has sold Leyton Orient to a business consortium headed by Nigel Travis, a lifelong fan and chief executive of the Dunkin' Brands Group.

The O's, who have been in free-fall ever since Italian Becchetti bought the east London club from Barry Hearn in 2014, saw their 112-year stay in the Football League come to an end when finishing bottom of League Two last season.

Earlier this month, a winding-up petition against Leyton Orient was dismissed at a High Court hearing, with all debts...
