Nine individuals found guilty of public violence for their actions following the Nedbank Cup semifinal between Kaizer Chiefs and Free State Stars in Durban in April face an anxious wait for their sentencing on December 12.

In ugly scenes that saw destruction to stadium infrastructure, seats set on fire, the assault of security guards and broadcast equipment worth over R2.5-million damaged or stolen, fans rioted after Chiefs lost the cup game 2-0 to continue a poor run of results.

Sundowns and Pirates draw as Bloem Celtic stun Bidvest Wits

Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates played to a goalless draw in their crunch Absa Premiership clash at Loftus Stadium on Saturday, while 10-man Bidvest Wits lost 2-1 at home after a late rally from Bloemfontein Celtic.

Pirates extended their lead at the top of the table to three points ahead of Wits, though they have played two games more.

The Premier Soccer League has confirmed that the Telkom Knockout semifinal between Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates will be staged at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.

The league has now confirmed the match will take place in Durban on Saturday, November 24 at 15h00,...

There was also a 1-0 win for Kaizer Chiefs at home to Black Leopards as Zimbabwe international Willard Katsande opened his account for the season.

Brockie had been prolific at former side SuperSport United, where he scored 54 goals in...

Kaizer Chiefs set up Soweto Derby semi-final in Telkom Knockout

Kaizer Chiefs have set up a mouth-watering Soweto Derby against Orlando Pirates in the semi-finals of the Telkom Knockout after they edged bogey side SuperSport United 1-0 at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Sunday.

Chiefs claimed the quarter-final victory thanks to a stunning goal from right-back Ramahlwe Mphahlele, ending an eight-game winless streak against Matsatsantsa.

They were then drawn against Pirates in the last four, a quick chance for revenge after a 2-1 league loss to the Buccaneers late...
