Central Coast, Wellington face battle to avoid wooden spoon

A late own-goal secured all three-points for the Phoenix as they claimed a 2-1 win over Perth Glory.
Despite losing a man early, Adelaide came back from two goals down to salvage a draw against Central Coast Mariners.

Struggling Central Coast still have 21 A-League points to play for and none more important than the three that could help them avoid a second wooden spoon in three years.

It's understood the off-contract Appiah is off to Incheon United for preseason, with the country's top-flight to begin in March.

The pacy 25-year-old winger will leave having scored two goals in 38 league appearances since rejoining the Mariners two seasons ago, where he played in the club's title-winning youth team of 2011-12.

In between he had stints at Western Sydney...
