The Exploding Heads sound the World Cup horn as Ian Fiveankles breaks down Group A and Anthony interviews the official match ball of the World Cup.

Juan Antonio Pizzi has cut star playmaker Nawaf Al-Abed from Saudi Arabia's final 2018 World Cup squad of 23, shortly after watching his team lose 3-0 to Peru in Switzerland on Sunday.

The Al Hilal man scored four goals in the final round of qualification as the Green Falcons booked their first World Cup spot since 2006, but has been battling injuries for much of the year. Al-Abed made his first appearance of 2018 for the national team against Peru but did not do enough to convince the former Chile...

Al Hilal and Syria striker Omar Khrbin was named the AFC Player of the Year at the Asian Football Confederation's annual awards in Bangkok on Wednesday, with Tottenham Hotspur's Son Heung-Min scooping the international award.

Khrbin, who finished as top scorer in the 2017 AFC Champions League and whose goals took Syria to the verge of qualifying for their first-ever World Cup finals, claimed the title ahead of last year's winner, United Arab Emirates' Omar Abdulrahman, and China's Wu Lei.
