UEFA is concerned about the pace and process of FIFA pressing to accept a $25 billion, 12-year deal for two new competitions.

UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin has launched a fierce attack on FIFA over its proposed expansion of the Club World Cup and handling of the new Nations League.

Reports this week suggested Premier League sides Manchester United and Manchester City were among seven clubs involved in a meeting over a revamped Club World Cup, the competition which in its current form features the winners of the Champions League and its equivalent in each FIFA confederation along with the host nation's league champion.

Spartak Moscow and Zenit St. Petersburg have both been fined for racist chants by their fans, the latest such incident in World Cup host nation Russia.

Spartak's fans were accused of aiming monkey chants at FC Tosno player Nuno Rocha, who is black, while some Zenit supporters allegedly chanted a Nazi slogan during a league game.

The clubs must each pay a 100,000-ruble ($1,600) fine, and Spartak has been hit with a partial stadium closure for its next cup game, state news agency RIA Novosti quotes...

FA president Reinhard Grindel submitted Germany's bid to host Euro 2024 to UEFA.

The German Football Association (DFB) has handed its bid book for the 2024 European Championship to UEFA, with Turkey expected to follow suit before Friday's deadline.
