Christian Pulisic to Manchester United
Jose Mourinho and the recruitment team at Old Trafford have been given a boost in their pursuit of Pulisic. The Borussia Dortmund winger revealed to ESPN FC that he was a big fan of England's most successful club when he was growing up. The 19-year-old also heaped praise on the Premier League: "Of course, the Premier League is an unbelievable league. You never know in football what can happen, so right now, I'm focused with Dortmund, and yeah, that's that."
Stefan de Vrij to Inter Milan
The Dutch centre-back looks set to sign a new contract with Lazio, but it will contain a €20 million release clause. He's would be free to leave in the summer but wants the club to be compensated for losing him; signing a new deal with such a low release clause benefits all parties. According to reports in Calciomercato, Inter Milan have joined Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United in the battle for the 26-year-old.
Patrick Roberts to West Ham United
Leicester City made the first move during January to sign Roberts but it's West Ham who lead the race to sign the Manchester City winger in the summer, according to reports. Leicester manager Claude Puel sees the on-loan Celtic attacker as an ideal replacement for Riyad Mahrez. David Moyes, however, feels the 21-year-old could finally replace the creativity West Ham have lacked since parting ways with Dimitri Payet.
Ander Herrera to AC Milan
Herrera, having slipped down the pecking order at Manchester United, could be on his way out of Old Trafford. Italian media outlet Tuttosport claim AC Milan have been keeping a close eye on the 28-year-old and scouts have been impressed with what they've seen. The Spaniard's deal expires in 2019, meaning United could be forced into selling him when the window next opens to avoid losing him on a free.
Lionel Messi to Hebei China Fortune FC
Messi has a £618m release clause in his new Barcelona contract but Hebei are undeterred. They want to reunite the 30-year-old with compatriot and former Barcelona teammate Javier Mascherano. They are prepared to break the bank and pay the 100 percent levy stipulated by the Chinese Super League in order to do so, pushing the actual price up to £1.2bn. Former Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini is at the helm and Ezequiel Lavezzi leads the line, so he'd be in good company. The Chinese club want to usurp Guangzhou Evergrande as the leading club in the league.
