Burnley pub pledges to change name to 'The Dyche' if Clarets reach Europe

Burnley have enjoyed a terrific start to the Premier League season, with Sean Dyche's side currently just five points behind third-placed Chelsea after 14 matches.

The Clarets have won four of their last five league games and their form has been solid enough to spark talk of a possible Europa League campaign to contend with next year.

By way of incentive, a pub round the corner from Burnley's Turf moor ground -- The Princess Royal, which already promises Dyche free drinks -- has upped the ante by promising to change their name should their beloved side finish inside the top five come the end of the season.

As shared by Burnley's official Twitter account, the sign outside The Princess Royal currently reads: "Sean, get us into Europe and not only will you drink here for free, we will name this pub The Dyche."

If everything goes to plan, Clarets fans will soon be able to enjoy a pre-match pint in The Dyche before heading off to Turf Moor.

Chris covers the funny side of the game for ESPN FC in the Toe Poke blog.
