Morocco beat Libya as Swaziland shock Guinea in ANC qualifiers

Morocco beat Libya through Omar El-Kaddouri's second-half goal.

Morocco beat Libya 1-0 as the 2017 African Nations Cup qualifiers got underway on Friday.

Omar El-Kaddouri got the only goal of the game in the Group F clash in the 51st minute, sliding in at the far post to turn home a cross.

The big shock on Friday came when Swaziland defeated Guinea 2-1 in Group L.

Swaziland -- who had never won an African Nations Cup qualifier away from home -- took the lead through captain Tony Tsabedze in the 12th minute as he fired a shot in from outside the area.

Guinea, who reached the quarterfinals of the 2015 African Nations Cup, hit back on 68 minutes through Francois Kamano's acrobatic finish after Swaziland had failed to deal with a corner.

However, Tsabedze had the final word as he was presented with the simplest of finishes in the 84th minute as Guinea, coached by former PSG boss Luis Fernandez, saw their seven-match unbeaten home run come to an end.

There were to be no surprises in Group A, though, as Tunisia eased to an 8-1 victory over minnows Djibouti.

Djibouti, ranked joint-207th of the 209 teams in the FIFA World Ranking, trailed to a Yassine Chikhaoui penalty on nine minutes, and the FC Zurich winger had completed his hat trick on 23 minutes.

Ferjani Sassi made it 4-0 at half-time and, while there was a brief moment of cheer for Djibouti when Mohamed Libane scored a penalty in the 54th minute, Tunisia added to their advantage through Saber Khalifa, Fakhreddine Ben Youssef, Maher Hannachi and Yoann Touzghar.
